Polynemus Mutilfilis

anyone ever keep this guy? I couldn't find much information on them

Thread-fin catfish are near impossable to keep alive. Light brackish conditions needed. Very fragile and never make it during shipping

Thanks for crushing my dreams so quickly alex :(

and aren't threadfin catfish nemapteryx armiger?

I don't know about the threadfin cats but the polynemus is a dream fish of mine. Expert only, large tank, and deep pockets required, When I see them for sale the ads all say around each and live delivery not guaranteed.
Oh, I checked and yes the Nemapteryx is called a threadfin but that is the problem with common names, Various polynemus species are also sometimes called cats.

large tank? I thought they stayed small. Or do they need water so stable that the tank must be large? Beautiful fish nonetheless. How much do they usually run for?

They get to about 10-11" but don't tolerate crowding and need stable conditions, cheapest I have seen was $300.
