Sold as an Asian Fighting Fish- a mix of a bunch of things is what I was told-They are so mean and fearless its ridiculous- This one competes with my Dovii and its a standoff- If anybody has seen or know anything about this nasty fish pls share

It looks cool, and I'd like to have one, but......... Asian fighting fish? Do the males fight to the death like bettas? What's the meaning behind the name?
This fish slams the front of the tank anytime anybody passes, everytime I clean the tank I get torn up. This one is the female the male is also mean but is camera shy. I tried a partition to let them heal and they beat themselves up on the partition. When I seperate them into different tanks the male stops eating completely.
