I had a 10 gal set up temporarily. It held water, no leaks (or so I thought) etc. Well I was gonna put the tank away so I emptied it. There was about an inch of water left in it, so I carried it to the bath tub and tilted it to dump the water. As it was tilted some water start to trickle from the bottom corner.

When placed level theres no problem. It seems it only leaks when the tank is raised in that corner but if it sits normal theres no problem. I dont get it. Can yu tell me whats wrong? Should I just glue arourd the plastic rim thing on the bottom, or take that off and try to glue wherever the gap is? Like I said, if its filled and sitting level theres no problem. How do you fix a problem like this, should I not worry?

It may have been excess water that got into the lower frame as you as emptied the tank and came out when you tilted the tank.

It it is a small leak then the best thing to do is reseal the inside of the tank.
Ist clean the inside of the tank
2nd use a sharp razor blade to clean away any silicone from the glass surfaces, being careful not to cut into into the silicone between the two pcs of glass.
3rd clean glass surfaces with alcohol making sure you got all the old silicone off.
4th reseal the inside with fresh silicone[ can be got at most fish stores].
The bottom plastic rim is not a seal but there to protect the glass.
5th Or you could just buy a new tank .

Try it again. I'm inclined to agree with excess water trickling down and getting caught in the bottom trim before overflowing. If there actually is a leak, it's cheaper to spend the 8 bucks for a new 10g than to buy the silicon and spend the time resealing a 10 g.

i had a similar problem once fr the life of me i couldnt figure out why it was leaking out a corner like urs, i set up the tank again and while very slwoly it was infact leaving a puddle. being a 10g i would say get another one, they are like $10. ihave two 10gs ive had to declare "not fish worthy" thanks to mistery leaks, i know use them for herps :D

Could get some aquarium silicone but as the other are saying maybe just get a new tank, if there is structural damage its better cashing out a bit rather than having a wet floor lol

Silicon will cost you 6 bucks, and unless you're unemployed, you're going to spend more than 2 bucks of time on it. (Cutting off the old silicon, cleaning glass edges, etc.) Easier and more cost effective just to buy a new tank.

Well when theres water in it, and its sitting level, theres no leak whatsoever. Not even a damp spot etc. Is it possible for a tank to have a gap maybe and be able to hold water while level, but the gap open when tilted? It comes from the bottom plastic trim thing.

I'll have to test it again. Its sitting on a table right now half filled and no problems.
