I have a Volitan Lionfish about 3" long. Still a juvenile. I just noticed a weird fatty growth on the end of one of his dorsal spines? He seems perfectly normal. I have only had him for about 2 weeks. Just wonderring if this is something i should be alarmed about? If so how can I treat it? I have included a pic. It's really hard to make out but it's in the top right corner of the pic, 1" down from the top & 1" in from the right edge. Any insight would be appreciated.
