I opened up my little bottle of freeze-dried tubifex worms. I grabbed a cube and there was a live worm attached to it. It started moving around the cube and I freaked out and put it back in the bottle. I started to look at it but dont know what kind of worm it was and if its bad. I took a few pics of it then I killed it. It must have been packed in with the food. I found a few pieces it ate through. Some cubes had holes in them. On close look the worm was a bit fuzzy. But not a whole lot.

Ew, lol.

Fish will eat anything!

I dont know why I killed it. Didnt know what to do with it. It did cross my mind to feed it to the fish but I was worried about it being bad to the fish.

Was it a mealworm? I dont know it was a bit fuzzy on its body.

It's a Mealworm...at least something like it. It would've been fine for your fish to eat.

Think I should throw away the rest of the tubifex worms? I found a cocoon or perhaps another worm that died in the bottle. My one fish loves the tubifex worms. But all the others dont like it as much.
