My marble has been pregnant since 5 days after new years. What I'm finding weird is the movement was at it's peak on day 110 and my male pearl ray started chasing her around after that. Today her size seems smaller and the movement when there is any is very subtle. I'm guessing the pups will be stillborn. Has anyone had any similar pregnacy's like this? Will the pup be aborted after death or could it remain inside causing problems?

usually she will just pop out still borns.... i would contact mike for better info.... im sure some others will come in with uneducated theory's and it will be funny....

I think it is because of the moon phase:)

Something may have caused her to abort the pregnancy, and I'm pretty sure she could re-absorb the pups. It's a defense mechanism for stress.

Any big changes to the tank recently?

There hasn't been any changes in the tank recently. I had a motoro that had become pregnant 5 days prior to the marble and she had her pups on day 110 so I wouldn't think there was anything with the water during the pregnacy. This is her first pup and the father is a pearl so maybe this has something to do with it.
Like Kyle said I also heard the pups could be reabsorbed but wasn't sure if this was true or not.
There is some small movement in the female still but it's only occasionally and hard to see. I did expect to see at least an aborted pup by now since it's been 6 months.
Could it be possible for a ray to get pregnant while being pregnant. ( I know there's better wording for that but can't think of it right now)

thats weird......i gues the only thing you can really do is wait....

if there is still movement, lets hope that the remaining pup(s) are oing to come out alright. can we see pics of the this motoroxpearl???

ive noticed that pup movement peaks around 80 days. twards the end of the pregnancy, movement is minimal...

hopefully its just a rely long pregnancy...

lol I'm hoping that this is the case.
I'll snap some pics if they live or are stillborn also.
