Weird Question

O.K. I'm still kinda just getting herps, only got 3 snakes and a LG......but I just got a question.....when you look on breeders stocklists or in some people's signatures on websites, why do you see them put what they have with numbers and periods? Like 0.1.1? I'll try to find some examples of it, I was just curious what it means......

it refers to the sex of the animals
male.female.unknown
so 0.1.1 means no males, one female and one unknown. i may have the male and female switched but thats what they mean.
