Weird red spot on Black Belt Cichlid (Paratheraps Maculicauda)

Hey guys, I bought my wild caught maculicauda a week ago and he came in with this odd red spot on his side, I ignored it thinking it was a wound from a fight in the wild. But not it's beginning to concern me a bit here some pics.

Try putting a drop of iodine on the spot. It looks like anchor worm.
