so i have two oscars and a sevrum in my tank, but instead of the oscars pairing up,my big O and my sev are side by side all the time and i have to keep my other o separated.everytime they fight, the females oviposter starts coming out a little bit,but only when shes beating the crap out of my male .is there something im missing here or what?

that sucks
:(
sorry bro

my old O's did the same thing but the other tried pairing up with a JD:screwy:

thats wierd cuz O's dont breed or pair up with anything other than O's
They will sure as heck try though! I had an O that loved my gold severum and tried time and time again to spawn with her but no successful spawns.

i have two oscars who constantly hang out together as does my severum where ever they go he goes....how do u know yours is male n female?

I had 2 Oscars that would constantly spawn, eggs never hatched. Found out they were both female, couldn't tell until I saw both ovipositors dropped. Just a thought, maybe your 2 oscars are female, and the one that's ready to spawn, is pairing up with the next, nearest male of anything.
As long as its a cichlid they may pair up and even spawn, in case they fry hatch, make sure they become feeders.

ha if i had an oscar sucessfully breed with a sevrum,i would never make them feeders.hybrid haters are retarded, fish are fish,if i think it looks cool im gonna keep it.by the way, oscars can only breed with oscars, sevrums and oscars are too far apart to sucessfully breed

whats a oviposter is it this?
