I used to have a Chinese Algae Eater to clean my tank, but it started attacking my fish, so I removed it. Brown algae started forming in the tank about a week after that, and I noticed these tubes on rocks/plants/glass. Then I observed a worm coming out of a tube-husk. Does anyone know what it is, and is it as bad as planarian? (Harmful to fish, etc). And lastly, what is the best way to get rid of it?

That looks like fish poop. Can you get a video? Maybe a fish has parasites?
Detritus worms usually live in the gravel not on decorations but maybe? If its a detritus worm they are not an issue.
That is poop.

And to get rid of it, vacuum it out during water changes.

It definitely is not poop. I took a video of it (which I can’t post), and something comes in and out of the husk. My fish swam by it, and the thing disappeared in the husk it made, and when the fish left, the thing came back out.

This looks like the same ‘shavings’/left over stuff that I see, yeah.

Updated pictures. Literally just hours after my first ones.

As far as I can tell they are harmless. But short of manual removal no idea on how to get rid of them. If they are what I linked to I believe they feed on detritus so unlikely to cause harm.
