Hey guys, this is acually pretty cool, and weird. My pleco isnt a bottom feeder anymore, hes a top feeder :screwy: Anyways, ive always fed him normally, hes happy and healthy... he gets plenty of food, but i guess now hes decided to eat from the top. He swims up to the top and flips on his back to slurp up the blood worms and cichlid tablets that are at the top. Its pretty cool, ill post a video up on this website soon as i can, hes pretty neat in action.

I used to have common plecos that do as well.:screwy: Would my loaches be considered as weirdest loaches if you hear that mine feed on my hands a lot?:nilly:

Can't wait for the vid. I used to have a small common that would do that to eat flakes then head back down to the bottom. I've got a rubbernose now that will get up against a wall and jump up nearly an inch.. not sure if he's trying to escape or to find more algae, but he gets his wafers and seems to be healthy.

:ROFL::ROFL::banhim:...jjk! Yeah a real "must see" LMAO

I've heard several reports of 'bigger' plecs learning where the food is, at the top. So they venture on up there and eat like a regular fish. Good to see its not a myth.

my apple snails do the same thing when flakes hit the water

my boyfriend's commons would eat dry krill and koi pellets from the top of the tank, and they would also let him rub their noses before taking koi pellets out of his fingers.
