I wouldn't dare attempt to feed any household bugs out of fear of possible pesticide exposure

i try to feed them food that is recommended for them opposed to experimenting with random foods.

but i get weird looks at the super market buying lots of cale and courgettes etc for my fish when they find out thats what it is for.

Nothing too weird for me. Maybe tadpoles? We get a lot of tadpoles in our stock tanks in the spring( I live in a desert though) and I catch 20 or so a year to feed throughout all my tanks just for fun. very entertaining.
