I'm in Spokane, Washington (USA) and keep a wide variety of traditional and "exotic" pets. My most recent acquisition is a young adult couple (Lotus and Cristine are their names) and boy - are they expensive! These higher primates are tough to keep happy!

Seriously, though, when I adopted Lotus, my household rapidly expanded to include a plethora of aquariums containing not only fish, but lizards, snakes and insects. I already kept birds, cats, tarantulas and a few snakes of my own. I got a great deal on a couple of really large aquariums right after I moved into my "new" house and planned on setting up a really nice, heavily planted tank for a flock of Neons and some really pretty dwarf Gouramis. Yeah, right.

Lotus now has a 3' Black Arrowana and a really cool 18-24" Bichir named Dagwood in the 180g. He's also got some big South American cichlids, too, and keeping the peace is how we ended up with so many different tanks downstairs.

I've got the 150g set up for Lake Malawi cichlids and have decided to just let them duke it out and find their balance. No really big "monster" fish in my tank, but they really chew up the scenery :/

The rest of my menagerie includes canaries, zebra finches, about 30 assorted snakes and lizards, various breeds of rodent (some for feeders and some for pets), around the same number of tarantulas, four cats and a dog. I think the Iguana is still in the house, but we haven't seen her for a while. She was house-broken and allowed to wander loose during the day and one evening she didn't turn up for her dinner.

So, here I am trying to figure out how to keep our growing Arrowana happy and where I can find the room to put the 300g aquarium he needs!:WHOA:
