Im not saying i agree with the extremity of his actions, but it has obviously bothered him. Is giving him a hard time the best course of action? Maybe give him a break? We all react differently to rejection

Heck yeah!...If he is as old as he says then he should know better than to think that he won't be given a position just because he seems himself worthy.What's more,he is too old to be so thin skinned to give up and quit his long enjoyed hobby over a denied request....can't wait to see the out of hobby thread.

Sounds like OP needs to take some time away from the forum and just sit near the tank with a few beers.

+1 why quit the hobby when all you need to do is quit the forum.. Fishkeeping isn't dependent of MFK.

Quitting the hobby because you can't become a mod is like cutting off your #### just because you can't have a baby.
