Well after 30 years in the fish keeping hobby ive decided to quit

Today i spoke with Li Neoprodogy, about the possibility of being appointed as a mod on MFK, and was told that what i was asking was like asking to be appointed as the Vice President of The United States, when i was nothing more than a stupid everyday old fish keeper.

He was correct i suppose, i am nothing more than a 62 year old retired, hobbyist that has been keeping fish for over 30 years, and had the unfortunate luck of devoting a few years to this forum and its Elitist ownership.

So for me it will be farewell to a great hobby all my tanks and fishes will go away, and i will regret seeing this hobby come to the point where a forum owner could become so pleased with himself, that the hobby and helping others were nowhere near as important as how fabulous his forum had become.

Good bye, and best of luck for all of you who buy into that theory.

As for me Please Delete my membership in the wonderful world of MFK and tell the dictator to kiss my ***
 
farewell to a great hobby? So....you are going to quit fishkeeping because you were told you can't be a mod on an internet forum? really?

good luck dude. if you trully love fish, this wouldn't faze you. Since you're 62, you have the time in your hands to show the fishkeeping nation what it's got to be a determined mod. :popcorn:

I screen shotted that post, it was very entertaining. First, i would like to thank you fro making my day with that. Second, do you think that quitting will really make Li Neoprodigy go,"oh wow he showed me, h quit the hobby!" No way! Asking to be a mod is a brainless move, no offense. Its volutneering for ridicule and insult. But i dont care if you quit, im still enjoying the greatest hobby ever and will for a long time. Your loss.

i've wanting to ask this for so long but what does a probation member do? Are you on probation? lol
