JIM being a global mod is hard (trust me) why would you even want it? The kind of people who think they are entitled or have the reactions you have had over it would not make a good mod, even less a global. FYI I voted no for that very reason....

Li, I'm thinking of you today brother. Its a tough day. Enjoy your time with your family and let us worry about stuff like this.

+1 you shouldn't even be dealing with this today! One of my best friends was murdered at a house party and it took almost 10 years to finally get a conviction. Glad they got the scum on your end. They would want you to enjoy the day.

I wish you guys could see some of the conversations this guy generated with various Globals. The basic gist was Jim asking"can I be a mod" and one of the Globals replying "we'll see". A week later, that same Global would have a PM in the vein of "you're an (blanking) (blank) who doesn't want to give me a chance. (Blank) you you (blanking) nazi." Of course I'm paraphrasing, but you get the idea.

Who would nominate someone with so little patience to join the team? Especially if this member is supposedly old enough to be my dad and who has supposedly been keeping fish longer than I've been alive?

Something wasn't adding up with this. One way or another, this staff is here for the betterment of the site and to help the member base. If you can't wait a week for an answer while you're being considered for a mod position (and he WAS considered), without having a complete meltdown, which he HAS been at various times for weeks now (which was largely responsible for his rejection), you don't deserve the position. It took me six months to be selected. I waited patiently and continued to just chug along.

I hope a Global decides to post up those PMs, since Jim decided it would be such a wonderful idea to air out his dirty laundry. Unfortunately though, it is not my place to share those conversations.
