Setup my 40 with 3 (1-1/2") Clown Loaches, can anyone share experiences with them, and what to look out for, etc?

Ending Transmittal....

Thank you very much Mr. Roboto....Domo, Domo....Domo Arigato

Thet are great active fish, they eat many types of foods and IMO are some of the most beautiful fish for the money. Definitely my favorites. Look out for ICK on scaleless fish, keep water temps approaching 80 to avoid this. If the fish are healthy and water conditions are good, you will have no problems. Good Luck!

You will find much more info on them in the bottom dwellers forum, great fish

they are fantastic fish...one of the most comical and amusing to watch. the more of them you can keep together the better cause they like to be in groups. they get big (12" ish) but it takes a looooooong time for them to get there. supposedly they can live to around 50 years or so.

awesome fish they are prone to get ick but it usualy doesnt bother them that mutch and will clear up fast give them a good cave to sleep in and they will love you

Thank you......

I woke up this morning to the sound of the Red Rooster, or wait I live in the suburbia, outside of a major city, actually it was my little buddies clicking. Which the 3 stooges were just going nuts, they actually ate Hikari Gold pellets, looks like this could be a smooth transition...

Glad to hear you are enjoying your new fish.

I have had my 3 clown loaches for about a year now and they have turned into some of my favorites. I am wanting to get a larger group of them. They keep my angel tank so active and they eat just about anything I throw in there. The love frozen blood worms and brine shrimp.

I just wish they weren't so expensive.

Well seeing as how they aren't bred in captivity, that would tend to make them pricey....I bought mine for $8.49 USD, @ Petsmart believe or not. None of my LFS had them.....It would also appear that they are ich free....
