So we were at a nursrey the other day and saw this.
20190426_092256.jpg20190426_092451.jpg

Really thinking about doing something like it 7'Lx4'Wx3' deep
What I haven't figured out is filtration (I know what types) plumbing, and placement
And plumbing drain/return/overflow(what ever gets water to the filter)
Would like to stock 3-8 koi.

Not sure how much I want above ground probably around 24-30"

Thanks for any input nate

That seems pretty narrow for koi. That size would make a beautiful fancy goldfish pond.

I do like the clean look of that setup.
Filtration options are nearly endless. Do you have anything specific in mind?

Nothing specific at this time , I have a space that is around 8' wide and 16' long , I am trying to figure out what I want to do with , was figuring 4' would give me 2' on either side to get around.

4ft would be too narrow, 6ft and only get down 1 side might work better. Bog filter in the top would look great

Do you have a picture of the space you are working with?

The size you have in mind would make a nice pond. Just not for koi.
My pond is 11’ square and all it took my girls was a tail flick and they shot to the other side.
But you’ll still have plenty of stocking options for that pond. And I agree with davemal, a top bog filter would look great and benefit whatever stock you pick.

I can get a picture when I get back home next week. Will look up bog filters, however I think I found another spot I can go 7-8'ish x 12-13'ish and go 3' deep and 18"-24" block above ground.

That would be a good size. You’ll never regret going bigger.
