Greets. Well I'm a bit new here and was looking around and noticed the Arapaima Gigas tanks. That fish is my unicorn. I hope to one day keep one. I currently live in Virginia, working as a mechanical draftsman. I have a 55 gallon tank with the following:
7 Marbled Hatchets
5 Lemon Tetras
1 Female Apistogramma aggazi
2 (Male/Female) Apistogramma Elizebethae
3 Panda Corys
1 Orange Spot Pleco
It's a good system and I've had no deaths with the exception of 2 Hatchets, and the male agazi. But those were in the start of the tank. The male agazi refused to eat, so he starved himself. The tank has been up and running for about 6 months now, and in the past month, I'll be honest and say I've somewhat been lacking on maintenance. Which I'm changing tomorrow.
Anyway, sorry for my rambling. This looks like a great place for information on alot of the fish that I am interested in keeping, whether my wife wants me to or not. Anyway, hope to learn alot from all of you.
