pool sand. As of right now i have brand new all black aqua sand. i just got it in there and to me it doesnt have that smooth look like the pool sand does. plus i think theres alittle to much black now in the tank. so is there anything i have to do to get this sand ready? drain the tank, put sand in refil, sounds to easy lol. i play on sucking the black sand out.

will i tell a difference in look, the sand i have doesnt look like real sand lol,. i want the real look like everyone has in there tank.

could i just suck the black our and dump the pool sand in with the winter in and the filters off, if the water was drained half way?

I did the same thing. I spent a buttload of money on black sand and didn't like it.

Drain as much water as you can from the tank. Then use a dustpan or something similar to scoop out the black sand. Add natural colored sand and fill back up with water. Have fun!!

75 pounds with of sand = 37 bucks, down the drain lol .

new sand= worth it lol
