Well I got scammed

I sold my poly. Endlicheri back in October. I woke up at 3 am to drive the fish to the airport an hour and a half away to catch a plane at 7 and I had a class at 9 am and I made it all on time. $70 for air fare, about half that for gas, and $75 for the fish when I bought it. So I went through all the effort to make sure the packaging was perfect and that the fish would arrive safe and unharmed, which it did. A few weeks later, the guy tells me that he shipped the fish cuz hes selling the 400 gallon he just bought which I was so happy to put my fish into cuz I only have a 180 and the endli felt cramped already, she was a beast! Unfortunately, she didn't survive her second shipment and almost on que the fx5 that I was receiving broke and the guy I traded my fish to and I settled on $150 now to just forget about the mess. It's over a half a year later and I haven't heard from him in a few months, his number no longer works and he's no longer on MFK and he doesn't respond on PayPal. If anyone knows a way to contact showcase gar(his username on MFK) Inbox me. And always get paid upfront for online sales!

I'm a little confused on what your complaint is. From what I decipher the fish has nothing to do with this story. You bought a FX5 from a guy you had previously sold a fish too. The FX5 arrived broken? not sure about how it got broken but you settled on $150.00. Not sure who got the 150 you got that back or you paid him 150. confused? So 6 month later your not able to contact the guy. This is all I can understand.

Never got paid for the fish. I haven't heard from him since like January -_- I was going to trade him the fix for the fx5, meaning his fx5 would be my payment for the fish, but he ended up breaking it or something which I don't buy at all I'm under the impression that he wanted extra money and just sold it -_- so I got scammed prety bad and my poor endli was killed in the process because of his negligence

Not that hard to track him down if you have his name and address. Google is your friend. He most likely uses the same name on multiple forums.


If you don't want the hassle, PM me all the info you have on him and I'll attempt to get your money back.

But the biggest issue is the fish died, unless its all a made up story by the buyer to dupe you into thinking that..... either way 6 months is too long and nothing was in writing or contractually legitimate.


I'm sure he didn't change his number, identity etc for a 150$ scam, he must be in some trouble or hit rock bottom on some level. get what they deserve in the end. Bing!

Yea that seriously pissed me off the most -_- we the number he called me from no longer works and I've tried looking him up with no success soo I'm sol haha oh well learned the hard way
