I understand the first concern.. Your tank is new let it cycle... well i will, but just for future planning as it is killing me.

So i seen this guy on youtube with a cool stocking at

and i was wondering if this would work as shown below:

I like the tank, it reminds me of my first 20 gallon where I overstocked it with tetras haha.
I wouldn't go with 3 silver dollars since they like to school. I'd say either take them out or take out something else and bump their numbers upto at least 6. I have 11 and they're still skittish.
The pictus catfish, I'm not too sure on that. Some say they're a schooling fish, some say they get aggressive to other pictus when they get older, and some say they do just fine with one. All I know is that when I had my group of 4 juvenile pictus catfish they used every inch of my 55 and stressed out my other fish. 3 of them went back to the store and 1 evaded capture. The lone pictus has now mellowed out and isn't as boisterous as it was before which leads me to think that they aren't as active without other members of their kind. With only 2 I'd reckon that they won't be super active and might be ok for your tank.

What if I made changes to this?BTW I ment 3 red tail hemiodus not 3 Eds.
The changes I would make would be:
2 or 3 pearl eartheaters and 1 green phantom pleco eh? How would it be in a 120 gal with 30 gal sump?

I'll be honest with ya man, I havnt worked with the red striper earth eaters, the keyhole cichlids, the columbian tetras, the laser corys, or the pearl earth eater. The uaru and fire mouth I only have experience with as 2 inchers that I'm growing out. I think I'll leave this to the other guys who have experience with these fish because the best I can do is make assumptions without truly knowing the fish.

Don't go for pearl eartheaters "geophagus brasiliensi", by far the most aggressive geo, they behave more like a CA cichlid. Will likely attack each other and your peaceful group of fish.

Slash gymnogeophagus and silver Ds from your list.

It's quite obvious that the vid you posted require daily massive water changes
