ok i got my wolf fish and clown knife and fahaka puffer today.. i have the 8 inch dorado and 7 inch large mouth bass and pike cichlid in there tank as usual and added my 4 inch bowfin last night but today his fins were pretty picked at so i took him out and put him back into the cichlid tank until he grows some more.. as far as the new comers i added the wolf into the tank.. fahaka is only 2 inches . i put him in a 20 for now and clown knife is 7 inches. i also put him in cihlid tank until he grows some more...so far the dorado is still the boss. hes been poking at the wolf but really cant open his mouth enough to do any damage. on the other hand the wolf can but i think the dorado is to fast for him.. im curious to see how the lmb and pike cichlid do with the wolf... my hopes are when all the other fish are big enough to get them all in the same tank.. dorado/wolf/lmb/pike/bowfin/fahaka/clown knife/silver arrow... either all will work out well or the survival of the fittest will prevail.. im raising the silver arrow with the payara in there own tank. if somehow i can raise the payara to about 15 inches then he will go in there too.. thats what im hoping for out of my 240. then that will open up the other tanks for more fish..:WHOA: :WHOA:

GOOD LUCK! Show some pics:D

your puffer is really gonna enjoy that 240 all to itself :D

question. is the wolf fast enough to catch creek minnows cause thats what i use as feeders . id rather use creek minnows then feeders from pet shops anyday.. if not i guess ill have to buy some slow goldfish.. ive been feeding my fish creek minnows for yrs and have had no problems. i really dont want to buy lfs golds on a regular basis..but if i have to then once in awile is ok.
also what about creek chubs i can catch 3 and 4 inchers all day long.. think he will eat them??

One word of caution--watch that wolf like a hawk...I had one in my tank that ended up wreaking havoc, but the worst part was I had no idea it was the wolf, as he would only get aggressive at night. This thing killed plecs, blackbelt cichlids, and more and he was only 5 or 6", all the other fish were much bigger, and he was added last. Best of luck, but be very cautious!

common wolves are boring, but they are quick as hell when they strike. They'd catch any fish, no problem, you don't have to worry about getting slow goldfish. Those minnows would get gobbled fine.
