This sucks. My Electric Blue jumped out of the little opening in the back of my tank. I never thought any of them would actually get out back there. I guess half the fun is discovering where they are, right?

man..that sucks. well, you have room for one more fish.=D

happened to me last week .. i found one of my aulonocara on he floor but i dont now how he got out... i feel your pain :(

hmm...yeah that sucks and they do sometimes jump. I have 93 tanks and 80 of them aren't covered so I have had a few jumpers myself. My Lwanda male jumped and that was a sad day. I feel your pain.

yeah, my hatchet jumped ship, and i was cleaning and picked it up to toss, cuz it looked like a potato chip, with eyes!!! lol.

sorry for your loss

Finding fish chips is never a good thing.

I remember once some years back I had a 4" Trimac jump out. I came home from work and didn't see him in his fish tank. It took me a while to find him. The aquarium is on a dresser in my bedroom. He ended uo behind the aquarium, under the dresser, covered hith dog hair, he looked like a furball. He seemed very dead to me, but I gave in a chance anyway. I put his body back in the aquarium and started moving him through the water. I had nothing better to do (well, maybe I could have vacuumed up some dog fur), so I did this for a few more minutes. I was startled when I felt some movement. He started breathing again. He just laid at the bottom breathing slowly for a while, I figued he would be brain damaged or would just die soon, but he came around and was fine for about a year or so later. Until I had the brilliant idea to put him in with the fish in my avatar, not a good move.

Sorry about your loss.

Sucks to hear, but it happens.

It's because of stories like these that my Oscars have industrial strength velcro tabs holding down their tank lids :headshake and the other tanks are sealed up.
I wouldn't have expected it from a JD, I'm sorry you lost him.

Sorry about your lost, I can sympathize, my front jumped out from the back near the opening by the filter also 3 days after I got him. I was shocked but only got over it by buying another front. Anyway those are the kind of things that happens from time to time.
