I am moving into a new house next month and just got the tests results back on the water in the house. Its well water so there is no chlorine or other commercial water additives and everything looks good except the house has a water softener in it and it is putting the salt level up to 120ppm. Will this be a problem to rays? I plan to set up a couple of large tanks/ponds for my favorite ray species after I get settled in and want to make sure I have all things sorted out.

If the salt level would be a problem would it be best to add in a water supply source before the softener or is there a way to filter the salt out?

I have listed the other parameters below.

pH 7.5
NO2 and NO3 0.00ppm
NO4 .47ppm
Hardness CaCO3 .42 ppm
Chloride 43ppm
Sulfate 26ppm
Turbidity (no idea wth this is...lol) .87 NTU
*Sodium 120 ppm

Everything else was undetectable.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

does this house have an outside outlet not hooked up to the water softener? if so you got it made

I actually do not know if the outside faucets are hooked up prior to the water softener. I did look at the plumbing when we were there for the home inspection and can get access to the pipes prior to the softener. I could certainly add a faucet in there. It would be nice though if the salt was not an issue. I mean I imagine that 120ppm is still lower than what a lot of folks run for health reasons. I just want to be sure.
