I was told that Perry would be ready to eat this weekend.. He disagrees, haha. He says he's ready to eat NOW. My brother's ball python rejected his rat pup, so we figured we might as well see if Perry wanted a snack.. The answer was a resounding "He** yes!" Lmao. He instantly went berzerk on it. I am now reconsidering my decision that 12" feeding tongs are long enough..

It was just a little pup, so not a real meal for him, just a little appetizer.

I honestly thought he died at first :p(with the title) and why did ya name him perry?

It was the name his first owner gave him, and it just kind of stuck.

But wait, it gets better..
He actually grabbed the rat's rear, so he let go and started looking for the head. In the process, his coils knocked the rat off to the side. So then I had a burm in feed mode, and I gotta get the rat that's now under him.
:wall:
So, I quickly re-evaluated my strategy after I reached for the rat's tail with the tongs and he started getting ready to go for my hand.. So I got a snakehook to move him off to the side.. Apparently that looked tasty too, so he bit and started constricting that. LOL. :screwy:
After a second or 2, he realized his mistake and let go. After we finally retrieved the rat, we gave it to him again, and he took it and ate it that time.:)
