Wels catfish

Guys quick question,i have the option of getting a 3" wels catfish for 24.99 its miss labled as somthing elts. My question is this how fast do they grow? It would be eventualy going into an indoor pond. The pond is going up for my pima. But would they get along or would the pima be food aventualy?

That an amazing deal. They normaly sell for a few hundred if you can even get them. But dude, they are like the second biggest fish in the world!! You'll need like a 20000 gallon pond or more.
They grow mega fast!! LOL

That does sound like a great deal. I've been looking for a wels source in the US for years. Have not found until recently. 7" - $250.

I do not think they grow super fast, not like RTCs or acharas, but this is not from firsthand experience.

Beware many fish in Silurus genus look much alike. You may get a Silurus biwaensis or asotus etc. instead of glanis. The two mentioned grow "only" to 3 feet or so.
 
they do grow big, but not that fast, and not that big in a home tank. Those that are available here in the lfs is the albino wells. I know a person who has the fish here in my area, and have kept the fish for a while. Sooner or later they still need to be housed in a large tank or pond. Still, I would consider buying other type of catfishes instead..
