I have had my wels going on 2 years now and she is 32” can’t wait to she is at the 36” mark and be able to tell ppl you own a 36” fish lol just built a pond for her that 8x8x3 1,500g can’t wait to get it up and going..... currently she is in a 360g that’s 6x4x2...... still on kens 9mm krill pellets for the time being going to keep on pellets until it don’t fill her up. Then go to something different.

Sounds like it's not trouble to own, just buy or move. I think I will take some pictures after all, Re: our facebook IM convo. Might take me a few days, but I'm on it.
 
here is my guy

He's not as big because he lives in an outdoor 370g pond and won't eat all winter. Also, when my kids were each babies, I essentially didn't feed him at all. :(

Meanwhile my Acanthicus hystrix is visibly growing.....

What I'm planning is a 2000-ish gallon pond in the yard (for the wels) and drag the 370 indoors for a few years as a growout (for the A. Hystrix) while I save for a larger container-based tank for the livingroom (for the Hystrix).

Anybody tried to co-hab acanthicus hystrix with a wels? Has the laughter stopped yet?
