Update on my wels havent seen him in a while and just see him and he has doubled in size must be around 2.5 feet long on a diet of live food and other pond creatures what is another good food to start fattening him up as he is looking very long and skinny.

any pictures,what are there grow rate like , do you have the wels in a outside pond, what do you feed him, iam thinking about getting one.

not any new pictures will try to get some soon he has been eating lots of small roach, gold fish and the odd koi an frog lol he lives in my pond outside and they are difficult to get hold of and if you have a merky pond the chances of seeing it is near to nothing. And i would say full size mouse would suit better for the size of this cat.

Mine is at 1 ft right now, I'm betting mine will overtake yours very quickly because its in a warmer environment

PS. For you UK guys thinking of getting one, you better apply for a permit for it..........you get caught without a permit, your in trouble.

i bet it will, how long have you him now , in uk wels don't grow big becuase the cold weather , i have heared that they only grow 3ft to 3.5ft in uk. but i will have to see if it is true, keep us a update of your wels please i need the info a can get thanks.
