went fishing today

i saw tons of bass, bluegill, pumpkinseed, and a pickrel
i spent awhile trying to catch a pumpkinseed on its nest but it wouldent bite, so i went midnight on its ass and netted it out as you can see he was pretty big

i spent like 20 mins trying to get a pickrel to bite, the only thing it did was flinch when the lure hit it

net a small non game fish if you have any and use as bait
or use small hook with bread or something and catch a small pan fish for bait
"only legal way to use a pan fish as bait"

I caught a bunch of sunnies and bluegills yesterday with a little pieces of trout worms. When they are close to shore the easiest way to catch them is the dip the worm on a tiny hook in the water wait a few seconds, then pull it out and repeat... it always seems to get their attention and catches them quickly. I also ended up catching a small trout.

i didnt get a pic of the pickrel, usually i use that powerbait stuff for sunnies and catch them by the dozen, but i left the powerbait in my car
