I just got back from school and was going through the basement when I found this old Marineland magnum filter. The date on the box says it was manufactured in August if 1997, plugged it in attached to a 5 gallon bucket and it's still running strong. Here it is with the original box and pieces

Nice find and hooe there are replacement pets if available.

I know I have a dynaflow filter in there as well. I'm pretty sure they are the first magnetic driven HOB filters

I have one of those Mainland 350 filters I use it to clean my gravel
as the paper micron filter clears and traps the fine particles .

That one is the newer one there's the 220 and the 330 filters
also we used them like over 25 years ago with our aquariums

Yep, I used dynaflows back in the 70's. I thought I was high tech. Used to combine them with under gravel to great success but they did sometimes struggle with holding their prime
