went snorkling with sea turtles!!

yeah i went snorkling with some grren sea turtles when i was in hawaii, and i was wondering why cant you keep sea turtles in fresh? i mean there reptiles and what not but why cant you, is it because of there food they eat or what?

Ive wondered that too.
Probily they need excess salt in they're system or something..

It probably has to do with osmosis or something like that.

I know that the young and juveniles eat jellyfish and switch over to alage and sea grass as adults.
