got some live rock full of all sorts of life(probably some bad life aswell).got a red eyed puffer type of fish for my buddy.also happen to be walking and get hit on the leg by an adult seahorse.looked pretty bad.imo.full of algae and just getting dragged all over the place.hes pretty long like 6 inches+.not too sure wht he eats but he seems to be doing alright now.i actually wanted to find some horse shoe crabs that i usually find at this beach by the dozens but couldnt find a single one.as a matter of fact not even in the mangroves could i find mangroves for the fuge.did catch some goby like fish though.but the beaches are getting worse and worse.i used to be able to see everything clear.now it was all nasty and muddy.anyways anyone have any ideas what to feed this horse?i do have a million and a half copepods in my tank.

u should post pictures of the horse, and you should also try to search here, i actually read and article about seahorses couple of weeks back, and i found out they are really hard to take care of them

What time of day do you go treasure hunting?
I find just after sunrise is the best (when I look for sand dollars and beach glass anyway) the water is fairly calm and less murky. Plus the sun doesn't have much of a reflection on the waters surface.

yes.i read they are hard to keep but i figured this guy mustve been knocked off his stand.and was drifting inthe water all crazy and upside down i actually thought he was dead.the i noticed him moving a bit so i grabbed him snd took him in the bucket.no telling where he might have ended up.alyssa i just went today with my buddy thinking we were gonna snorkel some but the weather was horrible the water was dark.idk the beachs here in florida have gotten worse over the years.i did some snorkeling in grand cayman and"WOW" that was an experience and the weather was bad aswell.but it was beautiful a shipwreck, all sorts of fish etc.......we need to take bweter care of our oceans.

when i was a kid i remember going to daytona and digging a small hole in the ebach right where the water ends and it woud be filled with crabs and baby fish in minutes now when i go the only fish i see are washed up dead, sad really

Oh, that's just because we killed the ocean. That's all. Did you hear we've already acidified the deep sea? CO2 emissions have begun to lower the pH of the ocean. Take a bow folks. We just snipped the lines to our own food web.

My brother and I used to get sand and water fleas from sanibel beach near fort myers florida

Not trying to be a jerk, but you know about the permits needed to get rock and seahorses right?
Seahorses need a little bit of food often. Look at PE Mysis. It's the best thing out there.
