Went to the Shedd Aquarium today, such a cool place!! Only took a couple of pics with my phone but here they are, had 3 giant pimas and the midas tank, overstock? Makes me want one really bad, I asked the lady if I could have one but she declined...haha

Woah sick pcitures bro! I want one too ! lol It will be along time before I could get a tank big enough to hold a gigas
 
Shedd rocks. I used to go once a year when I lived in Michigan.

I will never forget the first time I went. They had one of those big tanks packed with MASSIVE frontosas, the first time I had seen an adult in person. I went right home and got some.

Did they have any other cichlids of note?
 
They did have a tank full of fronts...lots of cichlids, severums, chocolates, oscars, geos, monster pacu and aro...a handful of leopoldi rays and other motoro, flower rays...a tank with what looked like veijas...good sized tsn cat! Had a really good time and loved seeing all the habitats they had set up, last time I went I think was 5th grade, haha. Wasn't big on the salt water but my buddy wanted to c it all. Could have spent all day in the freshwater alone!!:drool:
 
SWEET!!!! hopefully when i finally finish my marine bio degree i will be working in a great aquarium like this, I WANT TO SWIM WITH THE PIMAS!! (though would like to be somewhere a bit warmer lol)
 
I love the midas display there. :D
