Hello all,
I am currently running a 2 tank sump system on my 6x2x2 tank. The two sump tanks are 24x14x12high.
At the moment the water flows through mechanical filter into biological (alfagrog) but I would like to incorporate a wet dry into the system.
My plan would be to contruct a trickle tower onto the top of the first tank.
I have 2 questions about this:
1) Roughly how much in size should I be looking for in the trickle tower? I am currently aiming for around 12" tall, 14" wide and 12" long. I think I would struggle to get much more height in there. Would this provide enough filtration?
2) If this was enough could I then get rid of the second sump?
The tank is fairly well stocked with smaller monsters (most growing only to 10 to 12") with the stocking level in the crudest sense currently at around 1.4"per gallon on adult size.
Cheers
Andy
