I bought a used eshopps wet dry from my LFS yesterday to replace the 30g tank i was using as a sump. From a little research it seems to be the wd-200cs model. When i was using the 30g i had kind of the diy tower setup. My drawers from top to bottom were filter pad, floss, scrubbies, scrubbies and matrix on the bottom. Its on a 75g along with an emperor 400 HOB. What im wondering is if The whole bioball system is effective or if i should go a different route with the media. I eventually want to lose the emperor and just have the sump running. My pump is rated at around 550 gph, not the best turnover for mechanical but Its all i have atm. Will this sump be able to support my 75g by itself with this setup? Its my poly growout tank so it needs all the bio that it can get. I feed tilapia, krill, and shrimp twice a day. Stock is 1 green phantom pleco 5", 1 pimelodella catfish 4", 1 scomb piyara 3", 2 Lapradei polys 5" & 7", 2 senegal polys 5", 1 moke poly 6", and ill be adding another 5" poly tomorrow. My nitrite and ammonia are always at 0, nitrates around 20 ppm, 50% wc twice a week. Will this sump be able to support this 75g?
