Hello Friends:
I have a 100 gallon aquarium filtered by a Filstar X3 and X2. I want to add a wet/dry filter, however, those rated minimally for 100 gallons will likely not fit in my aquarium stand. The stand has three narrow doors (10") and the depth of the stand is about 17". Can I install a wet/dry filter rated below 100 gallons whose filter demensions has a better chance of fitting in my aquarium stand? By the way, I can't install HOB filters because the top canopy allows only a 3" clearance between the bottom of the canopy and the top of the aquarium.
Thanks!

When you decrease the size of the sump you run more of a risk of having it overflow in case of a power outage.

You might be better off building an overflow fed bio-tower with a return pump at the bottom. It's even possible to use one of your canisters to power it.

I had this same problem with my 110, just I Made the sump before i checked to see if it fit under the stand. oops.

This is rather crude but it gives you an Idea of what I'm talking about....it's fairly simple. (Yes I know that the pump I drew is WAY out of preportion but at least you can tell it's a pump.)
