Can someone point me to directions on setting up a wet/dry? it is not as intuitive as I thought it would be. I don't have much experience with these since I've only used canisters and biowheels in the past. Thanks.

do you have a wet/dry filter or are you building one?

would be kind of complex to explain the entire system in a post. do you have any specific questions?

yea kinda hard to explain it all to ya.

pictures would help also, is the tank drilled or does it have hob overlfows. im my opinion i would rather have a nice cannister compared to the whole wet dry filter, i would hate to come home after a power outage and find my lower level of my house soaked. that would cost alot of money to repair. i have had two wet/dry setups and am currently using one still on my 125gallon.

That was my major area of stress. I did not want a flood in my house since it sits in my living room. Fortunately there is a guy at my local LFS that showed me the ropes. I need to throw up pictures tomorrow. I sanded and stained it myself over the last couple of months and finally have it up and running!!

A simple 1/16" hole, just under the water level of the return will insure you don't have a flooding problem.

So you've never heard of a casing, hose or 'j' tube cracking?

Properly built W/D's DON'T overflow!
