wet/dry filter

i am going to running a wet/dry sump on my new 210g . this is my qustion i have a 40g tank and a 75g that i can make the wet/dry out of which size wet/dry would be best for a 210g and yes i know the MFK rule is always bigger . lol but will the 40g be bigg enough this is the one i really want to build it out of but not sure if it is big enough . 40g would be best only because on the stand i want to build will be lower than normal so all my tanks are at the same hight . but if to small i will build it accomidate the 75g .

The 40 is plenty. That gives you a 20% ratio of filter to tank. You can't go wrong with that.
