Wet Dry for 240 gallon tank best media

I have a large wet dry BIO FILO Sump with 2 pumps circulating lots of water.

I wanted to ask about media other than bio balls.
I have the sump with the Bio balls.
On top of the bio balls i have 4 liters of Eheim Substrate in bags.
On the left side of the sump i have Rena Fill Stars floating on top of the water.

Does this all work fine or am i missing something.

If you want the best media, you should give the bacteria house a try.

Will the Eheim Substrate and Fill Stars benefit the Sump? The bacteria house looks very cool.

My wet/dry has a chamber prior to the drip tray/bio-balls and I filled that section with Seachem Pond Matrix
