If I make a wet dry filter for my 120 tank, would a 20 gallon tank be enough? If so would a 20 long or high be better? If not, what size tank would I need?

What do you plan on stocking with??? I'd at least go with a 40 gallon sump.

It is freshwater, and will have 6 JD's in it. The tank is drilled on the bottom. I am debating between a wet dry or a canister. I have no experience with wet dry.

I don't think 6 JD's will work. Don't they kill each other?

There is a guy on here with 5 of them in a bigger tank with O's and other's.

I have 2 reg F JD's 2 EBJD's (2M 2F), all betwwen 3-4", 1 Clown Pleco @ 4", 1 Common Pleco @ 5" and 4 Polkadot Loaches @ 3". They all get along fine in the 55, but are geting rehoused to the 120 as soon as I set up the filter for it.
