In The Little Town Of Bedrock!
The idea just popped into my head while i was thinking of ways to make my filters better and i thoughti would ask the best if it is possible :D so here we go.

Is it possible for me to just put a tube into my two HOB AquaClear 70's and have the tube making bubbles and then i will be giving the bacteria oxygen and also slightly adding more oxygen to the water?

Thanks,
AQ

The bubbles don't really put O2 into the water directly so I doubt you'll be able to make much of a differance. You might even disrupt the operation of the filter itself. Wet dry HOB filters already exist in the form of the Marineland Penguin and Emporer lines.

Agree - adding air bubbles doesnt make your filter a wet/dry and bubbles will only reduce your water flow but there are wet/dry Hang On Back filters available. This link to a locally made Australian made filter gives you an idea. http://www.aks.net.au/bioskim2000.html

These are really well made filters and he ships internationally. (I may be biased since I know the guy but they ARE great!)
