I want to set up a 750 gallon tank that has a damaged overflow. I was looking into either patching it with some acrylic or silicone and using a wet dry or just using a pond bead filter instead. Since with a bead filter I wont need to fix the overflow or worry about an overflow when the power goes out I was leaning toward that.

Stock would be about 10 pbass.

The tank is not running and dry at the moment. I could go either route. I and trying to get the most out of the $$ I am willing to spend.

The wet dry, pumps, tubing and all the fittings plus shipping would come out to about 2500.00. I can buy bead filters locally and can used the money I would be paying for shipping toward the filtration.
