wet dry, overflow, sump

what ever you want to call it. can anyone help me with deciding what size pump i need and how to set it up ?
i have looked alot online but no one really has specs on what one needs and all that and the information is so scattered so i figured i would just ask you guys
it is goin to be for a 300 gallon ply tank.
please help

On my 315G tank, I am running 2 pumps rated at about 1500gph each. If you look through my build following the link at the bottom, you will see my pump and plywood sump that I built along with the tank build.
