I have a drilled, wet/dry trickle filter with an overflow/return in each back corner. The in-tank overflow/return plumbing is not glued into the bulkheads but is protected from turtle mischief with corner boxes.
I am going to be draining/moving the tank this Monday so that the floor can be tiled. This gives me an opportunity to make any plumbing changes.
I could leave well enough alone and make no changes or glue the overflow/return PVC pipes into their respective bulkheads, or add ball valves to the bulkheads underneath the tank to facilitate easy replacement or cleaning of the overflow/return pipes in the tank.
Any advice or suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks.
