okay i know there are tons of DIY chapters on this but i need more direction.

so i have a 240G that is drilled, I looked at the holes and they are both 1 3/4" and about four-six inches fron the side wall can i still do a corner overflow?

my main question is how big of a sump tank do i need to comfterably place everything i need in there, spaces in the 240G cabinate is 2 1/2' tall X 8" long so id like to have a refugium on the sump, remember this is all freshwater so what would be the best ideas for the refugium.

i can get my hands on what i think is a 40G tank that i can put my stock in temporarily and use my 55G as the sump tank.

Yes, and a 55g sump sounds great! Bigger is better :)

okay so can i run dual overflows, what size tubing should i use for water coming in and what size for it after the pump going back to the tank?

id like to get about 1500 GPH but if more or less is recomended please tell.

what are good plants/fish/shrimp? for the refugium.
