I've posted a picture of my glass panel placement for my wet/dry filter setup. Can anyone see any potential problems with this? Or is it good? The tank i'm using is a 50 gallon tank.

What method are you using for mechanical filtration? The design that you have with the first chamber implies that you would be using some sort of a filter bag.

I would say to increase both the left and right side and give yourself a bit more room. You will still have plenty of room for biomedia.

6" would be OK on the filter sock side, but probably 8" on the pump side. You have to consider the size of most pumps unless you have sized it with your pump already. Even 8" may turn out to be a tight squeeze for your pump to function properly in a nice pool of water.

That's how I have my wet/dry set up. In the middle area is my filter media covering a drip plate dropping onto the bio-balls.
