Which is better a wet dry filter or a refugium? looking at setting up at least a 50 gal tank. and it would be a reef tank.

From what I understand the general consensus is that wet dry filters are nitrate traps and refugiums are the ideal choice between the two. This is because you can grow certian types of plants that will aid in the filtration of your water and even feed your fishes in a refugium.
