great help on this forum lol everybody is a critic
what do you want to know lol. i have expierence with neither of those specific filters.

i will tell you wet/dry's are supposed to be more efficient, because of the extremely high oxygen levels.

i think wet/dry's beat canisters even with high surface area media..

personally if your getting a wet/dry and have the ability i would get a sump one, as it can be much bigger.

The 2026 does both mechanical and biological filtration.

The 2227 does biological filtration ONLY.

I have the larger model of both filters.

If you only plan on having one filter on your aquarium, I would suggest one that does both mechanical and biological filtration.

The 2227 is a more expensive filter and I would not use it alone on my tank.

Does this help at all?
