what are the best c/a cichlids for a wet pet in 60 gallon tank 36"Lx18"Wx20"H
nothing coming except maybe a midas. heres my collection so fare 90 trimac male solo.75 is for my ebjd project+ 1 60 rearing tank. that leaves 2-3 60 gals to be stocked. what would you put in it?

I'd put in a male Carpintis Escondido. Look at some of the pictures and videos of the big male Escondidos...they are incredible looking fish with tons of attitude and personality.

Most wet pet "cichlid wise" get pretty large. That tanks is pretty small for most of them. My favorite wetpets have been Amphilophus sp. Trimac's, RD's, Midas and Jags, Mota's but 36" long is whats killing the options here.

Paratilapia sp. small spots can fit that description well, but they are not New World cichlids

where would i get some partilapia sp. small spot. i know the tank is on the smaller end but gallon wise and width i think it would be o.k what about grammods they are smaller arnt they. come on guys ideas.

what about Lyonsi, one of the smaller Amphilophus. they only get to about 8-10" dont they? might be pushing the boundries though.

You could go with:
Texas cichlid Carpintis or Cyanoguttatus
Amphilophus Lyonsi
Paratilapia Polleni (not new world cichlids though)
Pair of Grammodes
Jack Dempsey
Green Terror

Lyonsi
Sagittae
Severum
GT
FH

i would recommend one of the Amphilophus mentioned if they are like midas with regards to personality.
ive had my midas for little over a month now and his personality is amazing, he even takes food from my fingers. i thought my GT was owner responsive when i had him but compared to the midas his personality is non existant.

cool i was hoping for more amphilophus species, i always wanted lyonsi, seggetti , they would make a nice addition to the trimac in a 90, 2 ebjds that might get a 60 witch leaves me with an open 75 what do you think black nasty male? G.T?chanco? whats best for the 75
